CARP Shines at Bayada

Bayada Regatta, the highlight of CARP’s year, was a joy. The “Jolly-Up” dinner Friday night was a lot of fun. We celebrated Para Rowing with Para teams from all over the country. The Regatta on Saturday had nice weather. It was singles in the morning, and doubles in the afternoon. Sub sandwiches were provided at lunch and they had a fancy bbq dinner in the parking lot after racing was done.  Throughout the day, we worked with the other teams to make the schedule work and lent our boats for a couple of races. We even borrowed a double to make the schedule work. Our medal count was as follows:

Three Golds, five Silvers, and a Bronze.

Daria - 1xW PR2 - Gold

Bao - 1xW PR1 - Silver

Ben - 1xM PR1 - Silver

Jillian/Brandon - 2xMix VI Inclusive - Bronze

Dammie/Luis - 2xM VI Inclusive - Gold

Bao/Heidi - 2xW PR1 Inclusive - Gold

Regan/Andrea K. - 2xW PR1 Inclusive - Silver

(2xW PR1 Inclusive was the closest race of the Regatta; 0.18 seconds separated Gold and Silver)

Sherman/Luis - 2xM PR2 - Silver

Daria/Andrea K. - 2xW PR2 Inclusive - Silver

Thank you to everybody who helped make this year’s Bayada such a huge success! We are excited for Bayada 2025.
