Capital Rowing Club is committed to bringing rowing opportunities and excellence in rowing to the diverse community of the Anacostia River and the larger Washington, DC area.

We are a volunteer-directed, non-profit, educational organization offering rowing programs for people of all ages, income, and levels of physical ability. Capital Rowing Club is a proud member of the Anacostia Community Boathouse Association.

Adaptive

Capital Adaptive Rowing Program (CARP) includes rowers with a wide variety of disabilities from spinal cord injury to lower extremity amputation to degenerative diseases and visual impairment. We work with each athlete to ensure they have the equipment and support needed to explore their full rowing potential. More info >

Juniors

Capital Juniors is a competitive rowing program that develops middle and high school students’ dedication, fitness, teamwork, and community stewardship. By advancing the sport of rowing and providing comprehensive academic support, Capital Juniors Rowing empowers DC-area youth—especially those from wards 6, 7, and 8—to reach their full potential as athletes and students. Sculling

Capital Rowing Club’s sculling program offers something for scullers of all skill levels. Capital provides structured coached programs for both recreational and competitive scullers as well as opportunities for independent scullers. More info >

Sweep

Capital Rowing Club’s sweep programs provide a fun and challenging environment to rowers of various experience levels, from those who have completed Capital’s Intermediate and Novice program to rowers with years of experience at the college and masters level who want a high level of competition.
